Message: 51519    Hi!

I have successfully connected ralink based usb wireless adapter. To our blackfin board,

it have isp1362. It works in managed and ad-hoc mode, using 'legacy' rt73 driver.

The one shipped with kerenel does wo small patch, that corrects memory align problems,

but it also doesn't support ad-hoc mode. mac80211 stack is not yet really ready for ad-hoc, master

mode(

tested adapters:

* d-link dwa-110

* asus wl-167g

if anyone is intrested, I could submit code later.

Does anyone have success story with usb and wireless under bfin-linux?

Im mostly intrested in ad-hoc,master modes.

vitja.

It would be great if you could post your driver here or to the patch tracker.

actually the patch to original rt73(http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/) driver is very small.

Both files are attached.

rt73-bfin.patch.gz

rt73-bfin-full.patch.gz

Message: 53136    Try this.

It's based on rt73 legacy from http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/

most of issues are already in their CVS.

what is fixed in my version:

1) "hosed logic" driver may not work in MANAGED mode, but works in IBSS,

find hosed case and uncomment it.

2) IBSS merging.

3) as I use it with 2.6.19 with hotplug disabled, firmware is built -in module, that may or may not be GPL violation,

3) some debug priting is added

Vitja,

I try the driver you post, and it still got misaligned address problem.

I use ISP1761 and TP-Link TL-WN321G. Here is the debug message:

# insmod rt73.ko

rt73: init

rt73: idVendor = 0x148f, idProduct = 0x2573

Message: 53346    Can you attach full backtrace?

You should recompile kernel with hardware trace enabled, somewhere on kernel-hacking menu entry.
