Miquel Soler i Mir (SPAIN)

Message: 52175    Hello I have some problem with  MMC and start script from kernel

I'm using a MMC/RS of 125 MB with EXT3 filesystem.

I'm using this comands to format:

mke2fs -j -c /dev/mmc1

And this to mount and check

e2fsck -p /dev/mmc1

mkdir /mnt/mmc1

mount -t ext3 -o async /dev/mmc1 /mnt/mmc1

When I use this commands in a shell I don't have any problem.

But if I add this commands in rc file from start up script.

The system is usually working. But when the system was shutdown without umount the card sometimes the kernel can't check the card and I need to check manuality.

I don't know why using the same commands in the shell is working and not in rc file.

Can somebody help me.

Thanks.

Miquel Soler i Mir

Message: 52176    you need to qualify what you mean by "not working"

rc scripts cannot read from stdin, so you will need to make sure any commands you run is not interactive
