Message: 51102    Hi everybody,

I am using BF561-EZKIT lite and my aim is to give video input through a DVD player and see the output in a display device which is TV in my case. I have acheived this in VDSP using video-in-out program.Similarly i need to acheive the same functionality i uClinux environment.Hence, I have registered PPI0, PPI1 devices and associated interrupts in the kernel, also enabled V4L2 & frame buffer device.I have flashed the board with image that includes PPI, V4L2 and frame buffer drivers.

Note:

uClinux-dist:::2007R1-RC3

Toolchain::::::07r1-rc9

Can anyone suggest me what shall i do now to get the video output. Is there anything that need to be done further??

thanks in advance

Soni

Message: 51134    Hi,

I've created an application that does video capturing & displaying. In order to make it work we have enabled the associated drivers. My question is if we enable V4L2 driver & frame buffer driver it runs into some compilation errors eventhough it's presence can be seen in the devices folder. And we get an error of this type when we compile the kernel "drivers/media/video/bfin_v4l2_device_config.S:710: Error: reloc 582 not supported by object file format". Are there any switch settings that needs to be done in the BF561 ezkit lite for achieving the above functionality. Is it enough if we enable the PPI, V4L2 & frame buffer driver and access them through our application in uclinux environment to get the required output.

toolchain version: 07R1-RC9

uclinux: 2007R1-RC3

regards

Soni

Message: 51135    the vanilla drivers in the 2007R1 release did not support the BF561.  you'll need to port if you wish to use those drivers.

I've not used Vannilla drivers my question is about V4L2 drivers and you're giving inappropriate answers is it a proper way to reply if you don't know that thing properly.

Message: 51137    whether you got them from us (and thus vanilla) or you downloaded random files from the forums, the answer is the same.  it hasnt been properly ported to the BF561.  the error you're getting indicates that.
