Q: Why do I encounter the error ‘A valid license could be found’ on starting CrossCore Embedded Studio?

----------------

A: There are two main reasons why you might encounter this message. Firstly, if you have just installed CrossCore Embedded Studio and you are opening the tools for the first time, this message will appear when the tools start up or thereafter, if there are no licenses installed. Clicking Yes in the warning box will load the New License Wizard. If you do not have a serial number select ‘I do not have a serial number and would like to evaluate the product’ which will install a 90 day evaluation license for the CrossCore Embedded Studio tools.

If you have a serial number select, ‘I have a serial number that I would like to activate’, from the New License Wizard.

Clicking No in the warning box will close CrossCore Embedded Studio.

The second main reason for receiving this error is, if you have previously installed a license, the message can appear when your license(s) have expired. Selecting Yes in the warning box opens the Manage Licenses dialog box and will allow you to manage your licenses.

Clicking No in the warning box will close CrossCore Embedded Studio.

Refer to the CrossCore Embedded Studio Licensing Guide for further information.
