Question:

I need to transfer my CCES license to a new machine. How do I register my license against a new host ID (MAC Address)?

-----------------------------

Answer:

To register additional computers install your serial number on the new machine and activate it using One-Step Activation within the License Wizard. If your machine has no Internet access you will be unable to use One-Step Activation and should instead select the option ‘Install a temporary license and then register it via website’. In this case, once it has been installed, you can register your license online here.

Note: Unless you are using an Add-in license which has no grace period, you have a 10 day grace period after installing the license in which to activate it on your machine.

After registering you will be sent a validation code by e-mail, which once installed will make your license permanent. Check the Status of your license in the Manage Licenses window in CCES. After activation it should be displayed as ‘Full, Not Validated, Expiring in 10 days’.

If you receive a message about “...attempting to register this software more than the allowed number of times has failed”, please request a registration history update via Private Support, including the serial number(s) and host ID in question.
