Question:

When starting CrossCore Embedded Studio or installing a license I encounter the following error - ‘Invalid license file. The license file may be obsolete, corrupted, missing, or read-only’.

-----------------------------

Answer:

This indicates a problem with the license.dat file. For example, the license file is a VisualDSP++ license file that is incompatible with CrossCore Embedded Studio. If you have copied your license.dat file from VisualDSP++ please remove it and install a valid CrossCore Embedded Studio license.

The default location of the license.dat file for CrossCore Embedded Studio differs between Operating Systems. Information on locating your license.dat is detailed in the following FAQ: FAQ: Where can I find my license.dat file in CrossCore Embedded Studio?

If the problem persists, please use the following link to contact Private Support, being sure to include a copy of your license.dat file.
