Q.

How does a serial gain setting get latched into the AD8366?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A.

First the CS has to be pulled high in order to initiate a serial write.  The CS needs to remain high followed by 12 clock cycles to latch in the data.  The 12 clock cycles corresponds to the gain for both channel A and B.  After the 12th clock cycle, the CS needs to be pulled low in order for the gain change to take effect.
