Our Systems Engineering team is tightly integrated into all phases of our projects and product designs.  Our team is involved all phases including up-front requirements analysis and design, integration and testing, as well as, installation and training.  We can also provide operations planning and support.


SED’s experienced Systems Engineering team works closely with our customers to develop and refine system requirements. Defined system requirements are critical to ensure the appropriate high-level design trade-offs are made to ensure an optimized product for both the customer and marketplace needs.  Extensive system analysis tools and capabilities ensure the delivery of an optimized design anywhere in the world.

The boards and systems that SED builds at our in-house manufacturing facility are driven by the algorithms we develop and validate from the simulations we design and implement. This work is done across a range of complex problem domains including sophisticated modulation and demodulation schemes, channel modelling, and satellite payload simulation.


Once the product is available, our Systems Engineering team performs design validation through factory acceptance testing.  A comprehensive set of test procedures is run to ensure the solution meets all requirements.  For recurring builds, a production test procedure defines the subset of tests to be performed on each unit.  The production test procedure ensures the quality of manufacturing, and it guarantees that only fully-working units are delivered to the end user.


Our Quality Assurance department works with our Systems Engineering team and our other engineering and manufacturing departments throughout the project and product lifecycle.  Our Quality Assurance representatives assure that all SED procedures and processes are followed according to our ISO9001 accreditation, based on current standards.
