Question:

The standard LDF file for ADSP21489 of VDSP put the input section seg_pmco only in the memory section of 16bit width.

The standard LDF file for ADSP21489 of CCES put the input section seg_pmco in the memory section of 16bit width and in the memory section of 48bit width. Is it correct?

Answer:

It is correct. The linker only maps suitably qualified inputs, so there is no need to have conditional guarding of the inputs. The seg_pmco inputs from objects that are SW qualified will only be mapped to an SW qualified output segments for example.
