I am using Visual DSP 5.1.1

Answer:

The VisualDSP++ IDDE will automatically detect any "active script host" engines installed on the host computer. By default Windows ships with Jscript and VBScript engines pre-installed. For Python, there does exist a script host engine in the win32com package installed by the ActiveState distribution of Python: http://www.activestate.com

Have a look at the following read-me to ensure that Python is installed:

http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/docs/ActivePython/2.4/pywin32/html/com/win32com/readme.htm

BTW, Latest version of VisualDSP++ 5.1.2 is available at:
