CEI was founded in 2003 and has engineering and production facilities located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. CEI supplies COTS hardware and software, as well as tailored solutions. Our team works directly with government agencies and for commercial primes contractors. CEI has won numerous Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR/STTR) projects. CEI offers quick turn innovative solutions with lower cost and high quality while minimizing risk.

CEI is certified as a women’s business enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s largest third-party certifier of the businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S. It is an experienced source for government contracting officers
and purchasing agents to meet statutory obligations requiring product and service procurements from women-owned, small businesses. CEI actively seeks alliances and teaming arrangements with other small businesses, universities, research institutions and with prime contractors to develop and deliver technology solutions.
The CEI team has supplied hundreds of FPGA designs, more than 20 system/subsystem designs, more than 30 complex board designs, plus enterprise and embedded software to satisfied customers. CEI has more than 37 commercialized systems, boards, and firmware/software products, including currently fielded or operational DoD and government systems. CEI is currently leading or partnering on new radar systems, software and hardware projects such as leading edge efforts in MOSA applications, reconfigurable RF, THz EM propagation modeling, and associated remote sensing system development.
Located close to the United States Air Force Academy, CEI’s engineering, lab, test and management spaces offer a professional environment within our 40,000 square foot facility.
