Once binaries are loaded, follow these instruction on the terminal:

1. Set external OSD video to  480p

2. Press menu button on remote for OSD to display

 

 

This demo shows displays 2 external OSD regions with main HDMI Rx video in picture out of picture (POP) mode. It also adds an OSD animation which could be streamed to DDR2 memory from MCU through SPI.

 

The ADV8005 could display 2 separate external OSD regions by using external OSD TTL input as one input, and the video TTL as second input.

The OSD blending block  can receive external OSD video data directly from the external OSD TTL and the video TTL is routed through SVSP which can dump the video data to DDR2 memory for the second external OSD.

The main HDMI Rx video can be scaled down for picture out of picture as shown in this demo or can remain original size for picture in picture (PIP).

 

For this demo on ADV8005-SMZ evaluation board, only one external OSD video TTL is available so same video is routed to external OSD DDR2 memory and SVSP for second video.
