This FAQ relates to the audio software module releases on the ADSP-215xx/SC5xx SHARC processors. The new SHARC+ architecture on these processors allow code and data to be placed in non-L1 memory and the code to be executed directly out of these off chip memory spaces. Due to use of certain processor features in the software modules, certain data sections are required to remain in L1 to ensure functional correctness. The details of these sections are described in the attached document.
