We are very interested in your ADXRS800 Angular Rate Sensor for civil camera
platform stabilization purposes.

Could you please provide further information on
-) Sensor resoultion
-) Throughput time
-) Group delay
-) Max. sampling time
-) Max. SPI data rate
-) Noise characteristics

 

Before I get started, I wanted to point out that the ADXRS800 is intended for
Automotive applications.  If your application is camera platform stabilization,
I would recommend you to check with ADXRS450 and ADXRS453.  These products are
similar to the ADXRS800, but they are specifically intended for I&I markets.
The ADXRS450/3 and the ADXRS800 are pretty similar.

Could you please provide further information on

-) Sensor resolution –
[MH]  The resolution of this gyro is 80LSB/°/s. 

-) Throughput time
[MH] see answers for “group delay” and “sampling time”.  Any signal delays
beyond those two are negligibly small.

-) Group delay
[MH] 4ms.

-) Max. sampling time
[MH] 500Hz (2ms)

-) Max. SPI data rate –
[MH]  Fresh data samples are generated at a 500Hz rate.  The Max clock speed
for the SPI interface is 8MHz.

-) Noise characteristics
[MH] max noise over temp is 0.04 °/s/rtHz (roughly 0.4°/s rms)
