I would like to use the ADP1829 dual synchronous buck controller with a high
side N channel FET switching from 120 volts. To do this I intend to use an
IRS2011 high and low side driver, but it means reconfiguring the high side
driver of the ADP1829 as a totem pole driver referenced to ground. Is it
possible to connect the SW1 and SW2 high side driver references to ground and
the BST1 and BST2 high side driver supplies to VREG and then use DH1 and DH2
high side gate driver outputs as ground referenced signals with which to drive
the input of the IRS2011?


In general these devices can be used with an external driver. As long as the SW
pin is grounded instead of connected to the inductor and BSTx pin is connected
to 5V along with all the power pins (IN, PV, VREG).
To implement a current limit you may need to add a resistor in series with the
low side FET source and connect CSLx with a resistor to the sense resistor.
Everything else should be straight forward.
