TMU provides option to monitor the thermal state of ADSP-SC58x processors by providing the option to measure the on-Die temperature.

TMU provides option to configure the high and low temperature limits which TMU uses to provides the status or interrupt notifications to the processor in case the temperature exceeds these limits. When TMU_FAULT_HIGH limit is exceeded, TMU can generate a interrupt, in which case the core can take the appropriate action(e.g reducing the core activity to bring down the temperature.) TMU also provides the option to route the Also the FAULT_HIGH event is directly to the fault management interface of the system event controller(SEC) in order to minimize the effect of out-of bound temperature levels. This is suited for cases where the core my not be able to intervene or address the TMU interrupt because of thermal effects.
