Hi,

I am trying to setup eclipse to work for blackfin. I am using Fedora Electronic Lab which came out with Fedora 14.

FEL already has Eclipse Helios installed with the CDT plugin.

Now I followed the instructions given at the following link:

http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=toolchain:eclipse:install

and installed the Blackfin plugins.

After doing this I can build code using the FLAT (bfin-uclinux-gcc) and FDPIC (bfin-linux-uclibc-gcc) toolchains. But I fail to do this for the Bare Metal toolchain (bfin-elf). The issue is that the option to configure "Processor Settings" is missing for all three toolchains.

I have attached a snapshot of the current eclipse gui.

What can be done to resolve this. Do I need to install some other plugin?

Regards,

Shekhar

the tools must be in your $PATH in order to discover processor versions

Hi Mike,

Thanks, Got it.

I had initially followed the following thread where it explains how to set IDE- wide settings:

http://blackfin.uclinux.org/gf/project/toolchain/forum/?_forum_action=ForumMessageBrowse&thread_id=41117&action=ForumBrowse

The error I made was that in the IDE settings the PATH value I set as:

PATH = ${PATH}:/opt/uClinux/bfin-uclinux/bin:/opt/uClinux/bfin-linux-uclibc/bin:/opt/uClinux/bfin-elf/bin/

whereas it worked correctly if I set:

PATH = /opt/uClinux/bfin-uclinux/bin:/opt/uClinux/bfin-linux-uclibc/bin:/opt/uClinux/bfin-elf/bin/

Shekhar
