Hi,

I was trying to debug a test application in eclipse, and was wondering where the memory mapped register values can be seen in the debug UI of eclipse.

Regards,

Shekhar

PS:  I have already installed the Memory Mapped Registers View Feature plugin, but still the register listin the debug ui does not show any mmr values

Hi Shekar,

What version of the tools are you using?

Using 2010R1-RC4 and doing:

Window->Show View->Other

Select "Memory Mapped Registers" from the Debug section

Right click on the MMR debug pane that has opened and select "Add Registers"

Choose the appropriate part from the drop down at the top, wait a second or two and a full list of MMRs should generate.

This seems to work without issue for me.

Can you tell me what happens when you try this?

Thanks,

Stu

Hi Stu,

I am using 2010R1-RC4 with eclipse helios.

I tried what you had said. The issue I face is that on right clicking the MMR pane I do not get any Add Registers option. In fact most of  the panes including the MMR one have the following options:   Fast View, Detached, Maximize,Minimize and options for pane size and pane movement.

Regards,

Shekhar

I get the menu you describe when i click on the tab itself.  I get the other menu when i click in the body of the window (the white content pane below the tab).  are you getting the former menu in both cases?

Hi,

Even though I can see the MMR register table there is one other issue with it. The value column for all the registers is just a dashed line. It doesn't show any values. I have attached the screenschot of how it looks.

Shekhar

you cannot read MMRs from userspace.  this is correct behavior.
