Hi,

 

when iam trying to connect jtag, i encountered the error. i dont know how to connect please help me.

 

tool version-blackfin-jtag-tools-08r1.5-14.i386.tar.bz2

 

jtag - gnice

 

the following error in encountered

not enough arguments!

jtag> cable gnice help

Usage: cable gnICE ftdi-mpsse VID:PID

 

i dont know how to find vendor id and product id of my cable? and also i dont know what is ftdi-mpsse?? please help me.

Hi Mike, this is the result  for lsusb

Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0456:f000 Analog Devices, Inc.

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

 

In this i  found out  vendor id and product id

 

vendor id :1d6b and product id:0001

 

but i dont know  about

ftdi-mpsse??

just type "ftdi-mpsse".  it isnt a replaceable option.

Can you try the toolchain from toolchain/branches/2010R1?

Can't open ftdi device: unable to set usb configuration. Make sure ftdi_sio is unloaded!

i tried by using Sudo Su  commands but i got same error .please help me

i tired this command also, but got the same error.

root@ubuntu:/home/sysadmin# modprobe ftdi_sio vendor=0x0456 product=0xF000

root@ubuntu:/home/sysadmin# cd Desktop/eight/opt/uClinux/bfin-elf/bin/

root@ubuntu:/home/sysadmin/Desktop/eight/opt/uClinux/bfin-elf/bin# ./bfin-jtag
