2010-06-02 11:46:16 Kernel build fails to complete, but doesn't give any proper error message
Abhinay Patil (INDIA)
I am trying to build the uClinux kernel but the build terminates abruptly without giving any meaningful error message. I am at a loss to understand where I am going wrong. Here's the procedure I followed:
1. Downloaded and untarred latest uClinux distribution
2. Downloaded and installed latest toolchain and uclibc
3. Set PATH variable
4. Performed "Make menuconfig". Selected vendor as Analog Devices and Product as BF-537 Stamp. I selected Linphone from the list of canned applications. All the other settings were left at default.
5. Performed make
After this, I see the kernel build in progress which progresses a long way before terminating abruptly. There are no meaningful error messages except "Error 1" and "Error 2". There's nothing preceding these error messages which indicate the reason for the failure.
Can you please help me to build the kernel successfully?
Thanks and regards,
Analog Devices India

either search the whole log for the error message or run `make single`
