I have following queries:
1. Is it mandatory to install uClinux on CentOS before installing blackfin toolchain?
2. When I unzipped uClinux-dist-2009R1.1-RC4.tar.bz2, and went through the README file, I came to know that I can add additional packeges and toolchain to the folder, change configure and make files, and get a build with those packages added to uClinux. Based on my understanding of README file present in uClinux-dist folder, I tried to add blackfin toolchain to it. The process followed was:
a) As I did not had access to RPM (as RPM download was blocked by firewall), I downloaded all i386 / 32 bit .tar.bz2 files. I have unzipped all of the src and other toolchain tar balls.
b) I checked out all the folders created after the tar balls were extracted and found that most of them had opt folder. However I could not find the config and make files there.
What method should I use, so that, I can put all these toolchain packages (tar balls) in uClinux-dist directory and have a build of uClinux-dist?
3) How can I build uClinux toolchain from tar balls, If uCLinux-dist is not needed then or if the distribution has already been installed?
Thanks and regards,

like the documentation clearly says, the host distro is irrelevant. any sane linux distro should work fine.
ireally have no idea what config files you're talking about. please read the documentation to install the toolchain:
