Hi,

I have bought a gnICE JTAG. I use it to flash the firmware of a blackfin BF533. The flash memory used is M29W800DB - ST eletronics.

I think the flashing process is too slow.

My firmware have 43782 bytes. All the flashing and verify process spends 5 minutes and 30 seconds.

Is that time correct?

The software i am using is UrJTAG 0.8 #1120.

the command sequence is below:

bfin-jtag

cable gnice

detect

initbus bf53x

detectflash 0x20000000

Flashmem 0x20000000 firmware.ldr

Can something be done to increase the flashing time?

regards,

Fagner

Mike,

I was using blackfin-toolchain-win32-2009R1.1.exe

I have downloaded the blackfin-toolchain-win32-SVN.exe from this page (http://blackfin.uclinux.org/gf/project/toolchain/frs/) but i am having a problem when trying to install. A message appear: this program needs to be closed... inform to microsoft... And it never install.

Does someone have the same problem when trying to install that toolchain?

What can i do?

regards,

Fagner
