Hi LTSPICEGroupsIO ,
It will run, and is supported as before, but it appears Rosetta is no longer installed automatically with MacOS 27. You can still follow Apple's instructions to install Rosetta:
We are working on an Apple Silicon version, as we are well aware of the imminent end-of-life for Intel-based apps support via Rosetta. Apple claims this will happen OS 28. Clearly, Apple is trying to preempt the user experience by throwing circus hoops in front of users who simply need Rosetta.
In sum, the support is no different than it was for OS 26.x, just Apple made it harder.

Mike: Thanks for the prompt responss, just FYI, I have a Macbook M2MAX, so not Intel, thus Rosetta does not help.
I'll just wait for the OS27 version... Windows 11 runs fine... Windows 10 Pro.. just wont open, despite trying the various suggested reloads and configs...
Thanks, Steve
Hi LTSPICEGroupsIO ,
Mike: Thanks for the prompt responss, just FYI, I have a Macbook M2MAX, so not Intel, thus Rosetta does not help.
Actually, Rosetta does just the opposite of what you infer: it enables Intel binaries (software), such as LTspice64 Windows, to run on Apple Silicon, i.e., M-series Macs, ostensibly allowing older Mac x86 software to run on ARM64 macs. This was to ease the transition of Mac i9 users such as myself to use the intel-based software I already had on my M3 while devs worked to catch up. Rosetta has the beneficial side effect of allowing ported Windows x86 apps to run on an M-based mac via crossover or other means.
So, install Rosetta, and you should be able to use LTspice 26.0. You will probably get a dire warning message that you can do so, but also call the developer and scold them; the latter bit you have done. :-)
Right now, we are in a world where LTspice supports both x86 Windows machines and ARM64 Windows machines. LTspice x86 or x86_64 was very portable between Windows and Mac, since these OSs used the same underlying chip architecture. Now, we have returned (back to 2006) to a world where underlying architectures are very different: Windows ARM to Mac ARM is not really a thing. The ARM goals are different between the two worlds. Windows ARM machines are typically cheaper and battery-efficient laptops, sold as lower performance machines, whereas your M2MAX is a performance beast, and designed to be so.

Hello Mike: Thanks again for the help in correcting my "confusion" re LTSpice on a MAC, I'm glad to say that now with Rosetta installed, it works!
There are some minor keyboard / mouse diferences re Windows, but it works well.
Again I appreciate the help and your patience!
best,
Steve
Hi LTSPICEGroupsIO ,
Great! There are a few glitches with keyboard mapping that we are working on fixing. The one that bugs me most is that you can't use Option + characters in any dialogs, say to type µ or Ω or —. Nevertheless, you can copy these characters from any text editor and paste in the dialog.
Of course, report anything you see. Thanks.
