LTspice 26 Window Tiling Issues

Thread Summary

The user reports that in LTspice 26.0.2, the 'Tile Windows Vertically' and 'Tile Windows Horizontally' options do not create a grid layout for 4+ windows, instead tiling them all horizontally or vertically. The issue is confirmed and will be addressed in a future release. A workaround is to use the Menu > Window > Tile Horizontally | Vertically options, which tile the windows correctly.

I recently upgraded from LTspice 24.0.9 due to necessity for a model to work properly. In 24 and prior versions, when I hit "Tile Windows Vertically" or "Tile Windows Horizontally" with 4+ windows, the windows would tile in a grid-like pattern that was convenient for comparing different simulations and best utilized the space on screen.
I've found that in LTspice 26.0.2 when I hit "Tile Windows Vertically" or "Tile Windows Vertically" with 4+ windows, instead of tiling as a grid, LTspice tiles all the windows horizontally or vertically.
I saw a suggestion that the behavior may be monitor-size dependent. I have 1920 x 1080 monitors and tried changing the resolution to several smaller options with no change in the behavior.
Google's AI answers suggested that pressing the same Tile button a second time may solve the problem, but it does not change the tiling to a grid. However, upon pressing either button multiple times, I am able to see that the windows initially appear to want to tile as a grid but then settle all vertical or all horizontal. I recorded a screen grab of this behavior using 5 open schematic windows. I've tried up to 8 windows open at once and still do not get a grid tile.
My computer is running Windows 11 Enterprise OS Build 26200.9106.
Could you please let me know how to fix this if it's a settings problem, or could you please work to fix the bug? It's quite inconvenient to manually try to make a grid, and I find four windows vertically or horizontally much less convenient for comparing simulations than the previous grid behavior.
