Inability to simulate a thyristorized circuit. Simulator slows down into fempto-second/second speed, (practically stops).

Category: Software
Product Number: 26.0.1
Software Version: 26.0.1

1731.PROJECT.zipAn inability to solve the included circuit is encountered. Ltspice make some steps, and after some time the time-step is reduced into fs/s range. Any solution?

Are there supposed to be devices here:

  • Mr, MStokowski, please use my symbols that included, in the zipped file, and not the standard, that Ltspice library include. I always use custom symbols (symmetrical), and not the standard Ltspice (asymetical) . Yes i use the .OPTION DEBUGTRAN, i show similar values, but this is not give a solution. Why The circuit is start with reasonable speed, and after some periods practically stop?

OK, hard to do when your symbols are in subdirectories and defined in the schematic as such. Do this:

    1. Close the schematic
    2. Close LTspice
    3. Copy all custom symbols to the schematic directory
    4. Open LTspice
    5. Open the Schematic
    6. Inspect the Schematic asc file in a text editor. There should be no SYMBOL lines with paths like this: SYMBOL PASSIVES-PARASITICS\\IND2
    7. Repackage and send
