LTSpice Version Differences

Hi malii ,

Would help if you uploaded your schematic. From the images, I believe in LTspice 26, the .temp directive tells simulator to evaluate at 27 only. My guess is that this is superseding the .dc temp. Older versions had a confusing prioritization of:

.temp

.dc temp

.step temp

The recommended syntax:

.step temp -55 125 10

Step the temperature from -55°C to 125°C in 10°C steps.

.step TEMP -55 125 10 and .op seem to work when written this way. Could you please confirm if this is correct?

Also, is there any document that describes these kinds of changes and/or differences in usage between versions?

Now that I've tested your asc, Turns out this is by design. .dc temp is not really supported for temp sweeps.

As far as a document about changes. The syntax .dc temp... was never really documented anywhere, it just kinda worked, and the shortcut was passed down through oral history. So, there will be no change doc.

The .dc analysis is designed to update independent sources and run the simulation based on each set of values. Temp is not an independent source.
