Hi All,
I am working on a power protection circuit using the LTC4041. The circuit is supposed to provide backup supply. However, when I simulate the LTC4041 with different capacitors such as 3F/10F/30F, the LTC4041 doesn't work stable (I think I need more time for capacitor charging). SCAP voltage doesn't seem right. But when I run the simulation with 10mF the ltc4041 works as expected.
Questions:
- Can anyone check the LTSPICE schematic and review?
- If I need more time for capacitor charging, how can I speed up the simulation? The simulation takes too much time.
- I didn't want to start another thread, so other question: Can I use 3V supercapacitor with LTC4041? How should I choose the capacitor operating voltage?
Additional Information:
- Input voltage: 5V
- Boost voltage: 5V
- Capacitor charging voltage: 4.59V
- Total system current: 3.1A
- PFI threshold: 4.69V
- Charge current: 1A
Thanks in advance.
