Add a simple way to enable/disable parts (feature Request)

Thread Summary

The user requested a feature to disable/enable components in the schematic/simulation editor, similar to functionality in other EE simulation tools. The support engineer acknowledged the request and noted that it is being explored. Accompanying comments highlighted the usefulness of this feature for optimizing circuit parts and avoiding convergence issues during simulation.

Hi,

Would be possible to implement a simple way to disable/enable components on the schematic/simulation editor? It's already implmented in many others EE simulation tools.

Many Thanks!

  • This is indeed a functionality that would help a lot.

Sometimes, when optimizing a certain part of the circuit (with the simulation hesitating or failing to converge) I'd like to simply exclude some of the OpAmps in other parts of the circuit that are not relevant at the moment. Currently I do delete them, but this workaound has the drawback that I have to remember and insert these at a later stage.

A tick-box "exclude from sim" and greying out those parts in the schematic editor to easily identify them would help. Not netlisting those parts should be the same as deleting the from the schematic.
