Hi,
Would be possible to implement a simple way to disable/enable components on the schematic/simulation editor? It's already implmented in many others EE simulation tools.
Many Thanks!
Best Regards, Vanderson
Hi Vanderson,
Noted. Others have requested this feature, so we are exploring the possibilities.

Hi Mike,
Any news on the development of this feature? IMO it would be the most convenient new feature for LTSpice's schematic capture.
Cheers.
This is indeed a functionality that would help a lot.
Sometimes, when optimizing a certain part of the circuit (with the simulation hesitating or failing to converge) I'd like to simply exclude some of the OpAmps in other parts of the circuit that are not relevant at the moment. Currently I do delete them, but this workaound has the drawback that I have to remember and insert these at a later stage.
A tick-box "exclude from sim" and greying out those parts in the schematic editor to easily identify them would help. Not netlisting those parts should be the same as deleting the from the schematic.
I will let this component be isolated, for example, short one resistor. Then this component is still in the schematic.
If it's a resistor or capacitor, I frequently just cut one connection and thus leave one pin open (works even for capacitors; gmin will usually "fix" this).
For OpAmps tieing all pins to Gnd does not work for me in many cases - the simulation will still refuse to converge.
What I do is temporarily delete the parts I want to exclude. Then I undo the deletions after I have finished optimizing. However, this also removes any changes made after the temporary deletions.
You can start by saving a copy of the original schematic before temporarily deleting components. Then you can copy the changes back to the original copy.
Admittedly, this is a possible workaround, but why use a workaround when there's a simple, well established solution?
i.e. I'm still asking Analog Devices to provide the option requested by Vandersonpc .
