Hello,
i´m looking for a possibility to use S-Parameter (.s2p-files) in LTspice. Is there any possibility to implement the .s2p-file to LTspice or convert the .s2p-file in a file which LTspice can use? If it´s possible the program should be freeware.
Thanks
Hello Paul,
I have written a program "s2spice.exe" to convert S-parameter to subcircuits. There may be other programs on the Web too. My program and examples are in LTspice Yahoo group.
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/LTspice/info
Download area:

It's ncessary to join this group, when you want download the files.
The converted circuit is 100% perfect in a .AC-analysis, but a .TRAN simulation will be mostly disappointing.

Hello,
Below is the link to the theory and the procedure about using the S-parameters in (P)SPICE.
http://www.designers-guide.org/Forum/Attachments/CreateS-ParameterSUBCKTinPSpice.pdf
I have now attached an example including my program to convert the S-parameter file to a ".lib" file with the subcircuit for the simulation in (LT)SPICE. Please read the comments in the schematic.
By the way one can plot S,Y,Z-parameter with LTspice using the .NET command line. See the help pages in LTspice.

This is very helpful, thanks!!
Are these files available elsewhere the yahoo groups site has been shut down?
The users group can be found at https://groups.io/g/LTspice. I believe all of the old message threads on Yahoo were migrated to the groups.io forum.
