Hi ADI experts,
I am using LTspice simulating a third party FET driver (part number: ISL55110). Please find the attached files including .asc, .asy, .lib files.
1108.ISL55110 LTspice sim.rar
LTspice encounters errors that say time step is too small and something is wrong with the .lib file. But the .lib file is downloaded from Renesas's website and it works well with another spice simulator. How can I fix this problem?
Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.
What you could try at least is to switch the solver from normal to alternate, you'll find this option in the 'hammer' icon and the tab with spice
I'm moving your questions to "Design Tools" as someone may be able to help there. Also, it may be good to also post to the LTspice Users Group at https://groups.io/g/LTspice
Fil's suggestion of posting your question on https://groups.io/g/LTspice is what I would recommend. This isn't an Analog Devices SPICE model, so we can't support questions about it on EZ.
OK. Thanks Anne.
Thanks for your advice. I will try alternate solver later. I also found that SOMETIMES .option reltol=0.1 together with .option gfarad=1e-12 directives can solve the 'time step too small' problem, at the cost of accuracy.
