I see that the LTC3106 product page mentions that the LTspice model exists. However, the April 7 2019 Mac version of LTspice does not contain this model—there is nothing listed between LTC3305 and LTC3308. Am I missing something? Is it a separate model that needs to be downloads? If so, where do you get it from?
I have the LTC3106 symbol, model and the jigs-example in my WIN10-PC with LTspiceXVII and in a MacBook in MAC-LTspice.
I don't know whether the files in the MAC are really from MAC-LTspice, because I also have installed LTspiceXVII with WINE which eventually use the same directories for the library files.
I have attached the files. They should work with MAC-LTspice. You can either copy the files into the appropriate directories of MAC-LTspice or just copy all three files into one folder to run the example(.asc)
I just downlaoded the latest installer for the MAC-version - LTspice.dmg. I opened this file with 7z and found the LTC3106 in this version. Now I really wonder why you don't have the LTC3106 in your installed version of MAC-LTspice.
Please do an update of LTspice via the Control Panel.
Control Panel (hammer icon) -> Operation > "Software Update"
Thanks Helmut. I'd downloaded the program from the website a couple of times to make sure I had the most recent, but apparently that didn't trigger a model library update. Doing it through the Control Panel did the trick.
Thanks a lot for sharing the solution.
I will try to keep it in mind, if another user have this problem in the future.
