The system is certified to be eye safe when operating the laser at 20ns and 50kHz. When operating the system above these settings eye safety class 1 is no longer guaranteed and laser safety glasses must be worn all the time. It is recommended to wear laser safety glasses all the time irrespective of the laser setting to avoid any dangerous situations that might arise when modifying the software.
The 4 lasers fire simultaneously. The physical spacing between the each laser is large enough to avoid the average combined power exceeding the allowed safety limits.
