Is there a way to change the power output by the vixels on the laser board? For example, currently 0.15W are output at "far" mode. How might I change this value?
Separately, I have found a "setCalibrationParams" function in the demo software. Would I be able to change the power by altering the arguments to this function?
VCSEL power for any of near/mid/far mode is fixed and cannot be changed through API functions. I suppose you want to increase the VCSEL power. If eye safety is not relevant in your application, you can increase the VCSEL output by either increasing the peak current or adding more VCSELs. The peak current of each VCSEL in the 96TOF reference design is around 7A and peak current can be increased by using higher supply voltage and/or lower series resistance as long as VCSEL can handle higher peak current.

The 'setCalibrationParams' function is used for setting an 'offset' and 'gain' correction which should apply to each element of the depth map.
Thank you for your response. So to be clear, currently each vixel outputs 0.15W of power in "far" mode, and the power supply to the camera board is 5V. If we would like the optical power at each vixel to be 0.3W for example, we would then have to increase the supply power to the board to 10V, and no additional changes would be necessary. Is that correct?
Is there a significant risk of damaging the board by doing this? What is a safe voltage to power to? Some additional clarification on how to do this would be very helpful.
