AD9912: Frequency Sweep Response Time and Minimum Update Interval

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: AD9912

To generate a sweeping frequency from 260 MHz to 340 MHz using the AD9912, I need to know the response time of the accumulator when the frequency is changed.

In other words, how much time does it take for the output to change after I send a command via the serial port? I plan to continuously change the frequency by sending commands, so I'm wondering what the minimum time interval between commands can be.

Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi  ,

It is dependent on your system clock as well. And it will be based on your IO_Update Pin Setup Time which is at minimum the period of your SCLK in Hz.

    All the best,
