I want to use FPGA to control Ad9914 direct Mode.


I let the F[0:3]=0010.


Let VCC usb to be disabled.


Connect the 125MHZ  to the ref clock. 


But the board didn't work.


Should I need to setting anything else before using the direct mode?


Or does anyone have the example ?

    Hi  ,
    

    I understand that you want to activate the Direct Mode. There are few things that you might be needing to enable before you can use this. 
    

    To engage any digital amplitude adjust using DRG, profile, or direct mode via the 32-bit parallel port, or OSK pin, this must be set. Alternatively you can enable it in the Control Function Register 1 (CFR1)  - Address 0x00 Bit 8.
    

    Here are some checklist that you will be needing when controlling DDS EVB via external control. Hope this helps.
