i'm trying to use an ad9833 with MCLK of 16,384Mhz.
Everythings works fine up to 1Mhz but over 1Mhz the output is unregular (sin and tri) and over 2Mhz there is no more a definite sin output
i thought with MCKL 16,348MHz i would be able to have at least 5MHz output.
is it correct?
Yes, you are completely right.
Can you confirm that your MCLK is a CMOS clock? (square wave output rather than a sine wave)
yes! not the best square wave i ever seen but i think that it will work.
tonight i'll post some pics of the clock and analog output.
everything looks correct.
I only recommend to place a cap in Vout pin, 10 -30pF is a good value.
We found empirically results were slightly better. anyway, this does not explain your problem.
May you post few plots of your Vout for different frequencies? and a plot of your digital transmission?
