Hi all,
I am looking to scale the clock of my AD5933 by providing an external clock signal. The user guide gives a very high level description of how to do this, but I could really use some more guidance. Does anyone know of an application note or anything similar which I could have a look at?
You can start with https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/application-notes/236037846AN_843.pdf?doc=cn0349.pdf.
The easiest way to perform measurements at very low frequencies is to use lower MCLK frequency from some external source, such as lab frequency generator with digital output or some external oscillator circuit. If this is the demo board you are using: https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/user-guides/UG-364.pdf? If so, referring to Figure 31, you need to remove LK3, close LK4 and connect your external generator to CLK1 connector. If you do not have appropriate connector, you may consider keeping LK4 open and wind or solder the signal wire from the external oscillator to the left pin of LK4 and connect the oscillator ground to the demo board ground.
