Only two capacitor values are recommended in the datasheet for two values of RTD resistor. Can we use other values of RTDs also?
The device is optimized for Platinum based RTDs. However, any RTD can be used. The constants of the Callendar-Van Dusen equation will be different for different RTDs
R(T) = R0(1 + AT + BT2 + C(T - 100)T3)
Where
T = temperature (degrees C)
R(T) = resistance at T
R0 = resistance at T = 0 degrees C
Where constants A, B, and C are derived from experimentally determined parameters α, β, and δ using resistance measurements for each made at 0°C, 100°C and 260°C.
These constants vary from RTD to RTD.
Again selection of capacitor depends on the resistance of the RTD used and your choice of cutoff frequency.
