Question HMC8410LP2FE with DC-10GHzNow I see it starts at 10MHz. Requirement is best DC to 8 GHz … will it workfor near DC? Answer I know that you’ll see heavy degradation in NF at the low frequencies as thatis characteristic of the fab process.Also, there will be trade-offs between the low freq response and the high freqresponse based upon choke selection. The key points to consider are as follows: 1. Stable operation at freq < 10 MHz is feasible with the die, since itprovides access to an internal feedback network.a. Access to that feedback network is not provided with the packaged part so,they’re stuck with 10 MHz for the packaged part.2. Even though stable operation of the die at freq < 10 MHz can be obtainedusing the 10 nF as you suggest, the low freq noise will still be dominated bythe 1/f flicker noise and thus the NF at low freq (tens of dB) might not beacceptable.
