Which switches are works from two rails: positive and negative? 4. Which of your switches with two rails are hot-swap? Answer 1. Its a diode, so you can imagine the way it functions. If the signal source is limited in current then the diode will clamp the signal at 0.5V-0.6V. If the signal source is capable of supplying more than about 10-20mA then the diode may be damaged. No I can't recommend specific circuits without without knowing more details about your system. As an example, the ADM1070 detects a hot swap event on line cards and turns on-off the required power supplies. The hotswap and hotplug requirement means that the switch is high impedance when unpowered and remains high impedance until written to. We don't have any +/-3V devices that have this functionality. We don't make any +/-5V or +/-3V fault protected switches though.

ADG3247_bidirectional operation ADG3300 ADG3308 difference

Question I am searching a bus level shifter, 2.8V to 1.8V, it seems ADG3247 can not meet their requirements, because for bidirectional operation, the 1.8Vinput still displays 1.8V in the high level output, could you please give me a recommendation part? Answer The ADG3300 is a pin compatible part with the MAX3002. That means its enable pin is referenced to a Vccb, and it has 6k pull down resistors on the Ainputs. The ADG3308 is our own pinout, with a tri-state option on both the inputs and outputs.For the ADG3247, if 2.8V is present on the A side, then you will get 2.1V on the B side. Then if you have 2.1V on the B side, you will get 2.1Voutput on the A side. This is assuming you have the part powered from at least 2.8V. If you look at the Pass Voltage vs Vcc plots on page 5, thesetell you what your output will be for any input voltage at a particular supply. Basically, the part will pass any voltage through the switch uptoVcc-0.7V. After that it gets clamped at Vcc-0.7V. So this is the reason why in the example above it passed the 2.1V straight through from the B sideto the A side, when the part is powered at 2.8V or above. Does this make sense?Some questions to think about:Is a 2.1V output high too much?Is 2.1V enough for a high voltage from B side to A side?For the ADG3308, it only needs large current when operating at high data rates.
