Does the MAX31856 require any calibration?

The MAX31856 is calibrated at the factory, and does not require any calibration.  On page 4 of the MAX31856 datasheet, the Thermocouple Linearization Correction Error in °C can be found.  Since the MAX31856 performs internal linearization of the thermocouple temperature for each thermocouple type, we report the temperature measurement error in terms of the Thermocouple Linearization Error.  We also show a graphical version of this information on pages 8 and 9 for each thermocouple type.
