AD698: Power supply +/-12V

Q 

Is it possible to operate the AD698 from a +/- 12 volt supply as it states the
minimum DC dual supply should be +/- 13 V in the data sheet and if so are there
any compromises in the performance of the device apart from a smaller output
swing.

 

A 

Besides the output voltage range, the rest of the data sheet is valid if +/- 12
V supplies are used. Also the Typical Performance Characteristics plots cover a
range of supplies from +/-12 V to +/-18 V.  Ensure that a headroom of 3V is
maintained when designing the output signal.
