Question
The (single DAC updated) note is clear, but there is no other information for all four DACs updated.
Answer
We used to have a “Write to all DAC’s” command in the DAC but it did notoperate correctly so we had to remove it. This means that we have to write toeach channel individually instead. The datasheet has some subtle references to the old feature:
It states: “… This has implications for the update speed when several channelsare updated at once (see Table 3).”.
Because we removed the “Write to all DAC’s” feature, the “all four DAC’s”updated spec no longer applies. This is why the table does not make any reference to it.
What is the difference between timing parameter t6 (minimum SYNC# high time)and timing parameter t19 (SYNC# rising to next SYNC# falling)?
T6 covers any write to the control registers and also covers any writes to theDAC registers (without slew rate mode)T19 covers DAC writes with and without the slew rate mode
How can these two timing parameters have different valueswhen digital slew rate control is enabled (t6 would still be 5us but t19 wouldbe 20us according to table 3)?
T19 and T6 both specify 5us for the same condition.
