maximum sinewave output frequency

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: AD5679

We need know the maximum Voltage output frequency possible when generating an output sinewave.

  • Hi  ,

May I ask if your question is specifically about the DAC's Update Rate? The AD5679’s maximum sinewave output frequency is determined by its update rate, which factors in the time needed for SPI data transfer, the DAC's internal processing, and the output settling time. These combined elements control how fast the DAC can change and stabilize between updates, which limits the frequency of any generated waveform. Essentially, the update rate defines the highest frequency the DAC can reproduce accurately.

  • The update rate may not be the limiting factor.

The DACs voltage output is limited to 0.8Volt per microsecond slew rate.

We need to generate a full scale sine wave (1.25V +1.25V / -1.25V).

We are uncertain of the highest frequency the AD5679 can meet the above requirements.

    Can you provide this number?
