AD5676 VDD connected to 5V external reference voltage

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD5676

Hi,

please is it possible to power AD5676 VDD using same 5V VREF voltage sourced from a REF195?

Thank you!

  • Hi  ,

It is indeed possible to power the AD5676 VDD using the same 5V VREF voltage sourced from a REF195. However, if the DAC outputs are loaded, they draw power from the Vref, potentially affecting its performance. Any change in the Vref output due to load regulation can impact the DAC output’s accuracy, as VDD is its main power source. Therefore, while using the same Vref for powering VDD is theoretically possible, it’s crucial to review the Vref’s load performance, which depends on your specific application, to ensure the DAC output’s accuracy
