Accessing software programmable control register of AD5620/AD5640/AD5660

Based on the figure you provided, the AD5640, a single-channel, 16-bit DAC, has four power-down modes of operation. These modes are programmed by setting two bits (PD1 and PD0) in the control register, located at the MSB of the 16-bit data stream.

Thanks for the reply dendalisay . But my doubt is regarding the address of the control register. It is not mentioned in the document. Without knowing the address of the register, how can someone access the bits?

Apologies for the late reply. The control bits are part of the 16-bit data word sent to the DAC via the serial interface. The datasheet does not explicitly state a separate address for the control register because it is integrated within the data input stream. So, in essence, you’re accessing and controlling the DAC through the input shift register, and the control bits are part of the data you send to this register.
