AD5791 SDZ

Category: Software

Hi,

I have connected the AD5791 SDZ with the SDP-B controller board and provided a 3.3 V DC voltage supply to the evaluation board (picture 1). Then I have connected the SDP-B with PC via the USB cable and the Device Manager shows a successful connection. It seems to work fine since I get a output voltage at the oscilloscope which is 60V at a power supply of 3.3V which is strange...  But somehow I can't use the AD5791 Evaluation Software since I get the message "waiting for transfer to SDP" and it never stops. (picture 2) Also the usb connection seems to be working since when connect it a orange light blinks on the SDP-B controller board.

Thanks for your help.

  • Hi  ,

We'll be checking this query, I'll be reaching out to our software team about this issue and check if this is a application/software bug. For the meantime let us further check on the hardware side to make sure the board and the set up is correct and not causing the issue.

    With this kindly,

1.) Share the setup you are using (jumper settings etc.) .

2.) Try the basic troubleshooting procedures:

    • Restarting the PC, reinstalling the software and changing the cables you are using. Also, will you be able to try and use other SDP-B controller board or EVAL-AD5791SDZ board to check if the issue exist?
    • Did you encounter any issues during the installation of the AD5791 Evaluation Software?
    • When you connect the setup to your PC, does it detect a "Blackfin USB Device"?
    • What version of Windows are you using?
    • Have you tried restarting the GUI and performing a power cycle on the board?

Also I have found a similar post about this query that you might find helpful : AD5791 SDZ . Thank you for your patience.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi,
    1) I use the following setup: LK1 - A, LK2 - inserted, LK3-LK7 - removed, LK8 - B, LK9 - B, LK10 - B, LK11 - removed, JP1 - A
    I use the J11 with 3.3V supply.
I use this configuration since I want the ADP5070 with LDOs config.
    2) windows 10, the board shows up under device manager

  • Hi  ,

Set up seems to be okay. Unfortunately we have limited support right now for SDP-B controller boards. I suggest checking on System Demonstration Platform (SDP) Support for more details or SDP SW support.

    Best Regards,
