Reg_AD5304BRMZ_DAC Output having noise at PD# pin enabled condition

Hi,

We are using 12-Bit DAC (Part Number AD5304BRMZ) in our design. During the PD# pin enabled condition, we have observed some noise in DAC output even configured data is zero. If it is disabled, noise not available at output.

Please clarify this scenario.

    The noise you are observing is likely due to power supply noise, switching noise, output filtering, unused outputs, voltage references or internal output buffer. To minimize the noise, I recommend checking all of these factors and making sure that the power and ground planes are clean, with proper decoupling capacitors close to the device. Keep analog signals away from noisy digital traces and ensure proper grounding. Avoid ground loops. Add additional filtering on the DAC output to attenuate high frequency noise. Make sure any unused DAC outputs are loaded properly. Double check that all voltage references and power supplies connected to the DAC are clean and stable You may also try checking the datasheet for details about power supply bypassing and grounding. Lastly in order to further check:


    1. What is the frequency of the noise?
    2. Is the noise present when the DAC is powered up and running, or only when the PD# pin is enabled?
    3. Is the noise present on all outputs of the DAC, or only on one output?
    4. What are the power supply rails for the DAC?
    5. What are the voltage references used for the DAC?
