Channel voltage changes with programming another channel

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD5391

Issue : Channel output updates upon programming another channel

Details: Programming 1.7V to channel-1 outputs 1.718V in channel-1. However, programming 1.7V in channel-2 updates the channel-1 voltage to 1.7v and channel 2 to 1.718v. Why does the channel gets updated/changed after programming a different channel. Any help?

  • Hi  ,

The issue seems to be that updating one channel affects other channels due to some interaction. This could be due to reference or power supply noise. Recommend checking reference/power supply decoupling and ensuring channels are updated sequentially not simultaneously. With that:

    1. What is the intended application and how are you interfacing with the AD5391?

    2. Are you updating one channel at a time or multiple channels simultaneously, how so?

    3. What do the reference and power supply connections look like?

    Best Regards,
